Amanda Fisackerly - EWiB Chairman

Amanda Fisackerly, who runs her own sales consultancy business in Weybridge, has been elected the new chairman of Elmbridge Women in Business (EWiB – www.ewib.co.uk). The organisation has been running for 13 years.

Amanda says: “I am pleased and honoured to be taking the EWiB chair. EWiB offers women productive networking, personal and professional development in a collaborative supportive environment. As a member, I’ve met a mix of like-minded women who have actively listened, assisted and consistently inspired me. It’s a great opportunity to share the trials and tribulations of commercial life, to network and learn new things. I’ve won new business through referral and I’ve developed several strong friendships which wouldn’t have happened otherwise.

“We are focusing on helping our members during the recession and have several speakers lined up to give invaluable advice. We will be launching a new interactive web site later in the year.”

Amanda has worked with the EWiB committee to devise an exciting schedule of events for the coming season, starting in September this year, which will be held at The Ship hotel in Weybridge.

On Thursday 10 September, the new season will kick off with Heather Powell on “How to keep afloat in a recession”. This is followed by Amanda Fisackerly on Wednesday 14 October, who will give invaluable advice on how to find clients in these difficult times.

All events, which start at 6.30pm, include time for informal networking over a buffet supper. The benefits of membership, which costs £75 a year, includes listing in the Members’ Directory and links with other business organisations.
