Elmbridge Women in Business was founded by Sylvia Adams in 1996. During its 13 year history, EWIB has grown from its first meeting of 12 women to a membership of over 100.
Sylvia Adams says:
βThe idea was to help women improve their own personal development and enhance their understanding of business issues.β
In the last 12 months, talks have included:
- Alison Clarke on “Telling Tales β creative approaches to networking”;
- “Speed Networking” led by Amanda Fisackerly;
- “Public Relations” by Jackie Mitchell, JM Communications
- “Support Available to Women in Business” by Roz Maher and Barbara Parker, Business Link
- The “Expert Panel” β free business advice from Karen Megranahan, millionaire and successful entrepreneur, Karen Skidmore on Internet marketing and know how; Liz Labrum, hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner, on handling stress and maintaining motivation and Fiona Humberstone on branding and design.
