We know these are tough times, and whilst the recession is allegedly over, the worst may still be facing us.   Many of us are facing challenging times and have difficult questions to answer.

Some may be contemplating real financial hardship. Some may be wondering which way to turn. Others may be wondering what options exist. EWiB is not immune to this and faces challenges of her own.

Luckily we all have each other to turn to, talk to, experience to draw on. 

Come and join us on Wednesday 21^st April 2010 at the Best Western Ship Hotel, Weybridge when, lead by Amanda Fisackerly we’ll work through a real business challenge, craft workable solutions, discover unconsidered options and achieve clarity and a way forward.  Take away re-useable processes and fresh ways of looking at things to utilise in your business, now or in the future.

The evening will start at 6.30pm with informal networking over a delicious light buffet until 7.00pm.  The networking circle will take place until 7.20pm and then the challenge will begin. 

We aim to close with a workable plan for our sample business to take forward, so bring your experience, creativity and positivity with you!

Would you like to network with local business women?

At this month’s event, there will be a structured environment where members and guests can talk to women they perhaps wouldn’t otherwise meet.

Jane Burridge, an experienced business networker who runs Woking-based Personal Equilibrium, (www.personal-equilibrium.co.uk) a lifestyle management and concierge company and is one of the few professional Lady Toastmasters in the UK (www.TheLadyToastmaster.co.uk) says:

“Speed networking works particularly well for those who are less confident introducing themselves in the usual ways. Not everyone we meet will be directly relevant to our business or professional interests, but the theory of “six degrees of separation” says they will probably know someone who is!”

Jane advises some preparation to make the event more useful:

• Make sure you bring lots of business cards and literature

• If your business lends itself to something unusual or novel to hand out, then you will be more easily remembered

• Think about what you are going to say to each contact about the product or service you offer – ideally from your “buyer’s benefit” point of view

• Think about what you are looking for – new clients, partners, specific contacts – so you can ask each contact to help you find it
